Join us April 19-20
We’ll tour the International Civil Rights Museum on Friday night, April 19.
We have accomplished and compelling speakers for our Saturday, April 20 program, including Faith Holsaert, co-editor of Hands on the Freedom Plow (a collection of stories from women in the civil rights movement), Dr. Valerie Ann Johnson, Director, Africana Women’s Studies, Bennett College, and Pam Spaulding, Editor and Publisher of the award-winning LGBT blog, Pam’s House Blend.
To cap off the day, Secretary of State Elaine Marshall will lead a discussion following a viewing of the film “Miss Representation,” a documentary about images of women in the media.
