What is the best career decision that you have made?
A fairly recent one–retiring from my family technology business and joining a non-profit focused on education as their COO. I am now in a field for which I have great passion.
If you had to do it over again, what would you do differently?
It is difficult to identify what changes I would make; in hindsight I may have taken a different route in marketing early in my career, but it may have meant missing out on some of the exciting opportunities I have had –working in technology, owning a business. Best to look forward, not back…
How have women helped further your career?
Through networking, moral support, offering their services or leading me to other useful resources. My most recent position was discovered during a casual lunch meeting with a long-time female business associate who later advocated for me to get the position.
