What is the best career decision you’ve made?
The best career decision I made was to accept appointment to the District Court bench. I loved getting back to the courtroom after a three year sojourn working at the General Assembly.
If you had to do it over again, what would you do differently?
I clerked in the US Attorney’s Office in law school and enjoyed it very much. I never pursued a job there after graduation and in hindsight, wish I had.
How have women helped further your career?
At my age, I really didn’t have women mentors, but my peer group supported each other. We were all struggling to crack the glass ceiling 35+ years ago and having the encouragement of your colleagues going through the same struggle was an enormous help.
