2014 Spring Meeting


Members and guests of the Women’s Forum will gather for the spring meeting on Friday/Saturday May 16-17 in Raleigh. The program will include a panel of founding and charter members of the Forum and a keynote address from retired NC Supreme Court Justice Patricia Timmons-Goodson. A Friday evening reception for members and guests will start the weekend with networking and conversation.

Tibbie Roberts, an active 20-year member of the Women’s Forum passed away on May 25, just short of her 99th birthday. Her enthusiasm and energy will be missed by all the Forum members.

NC Women’s Advocacy Day

The NC Women United Women’s Advocacy Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 at the Legislative Building in Raleigh.

This will be a tremendous opportunity to hear from experts in the field, engage with advocates and legislative allies, and learn about what the General Assembly is doing around women’s issues.

The keynote speaker will be Kim Gandy, president and CEO of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, past-president of the National Organization for Women, and one of the country’s leading feminists.
