What is the best career decision that you have made?

There is no one career decision that I made that I considered the “best.”  Instead I took the risk of changing careers when the opportunity was offered and gained experience in teaching, state and university administration, consulting, owning a small business and a farm and heading a small business.  I have experienced the “buffet of life.”

If you had to do it over again, what would you do differently?

I would not do a thing differently.

How have women helped further your career?

I am old enough that there were not many mentors or role models for women other than Women’s Forum members.  My early membership in the Forum gave me a chance to “network” and socialize with many of the “pioneers” for women’s rights.  At the time it was one of the few organizations that supported women as a group in a “noncompetitive way” and reached out to the individual members to assist with personal and professional aspirations.
