The Fall 2013 Meeting will include a simulation of poverty.

The Women’s Forum of North Carolina invites you to learn more about topical issues including North Carolina elections, voting, immigration, healthcare, economics, unemployment, poverty, and their effect on “The State of Women” at our Fall meeting on

Saturday, November 16, 2013 – 8:30 am to 2:30 pm
Featuring:
  • Kim Strach, NC State Board of Elections
  • Melinda Lawrence, NC Justice Center
  • NC Community Action Association with “Spent”, an online presentation, and an Interactive Poverty Simulation.
Plus: The new Boards & Commissions Report and more
Also, on Friday, November 15 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, the Forum will have a reception to honor past and present members for their service on statewide Boards & Commissions—and preview the new Boards & Commissions report.
